Bolsterstone acquired the former garage site from Sixt Kennings in 2006 for potential redevelopment which is now a student accommodation site. 

This is an example of how we continually monitor property sectors and adjust our property sectors to meet market demand. The scheme had originally been designed to meet Derby’s latent demand for Grade A office space. A detailed planning application was submitted and granted to enable delivery of this however, following the market down-turn in 2008 alternative options were considered.

The meet growing demand from the local University, a student residential scheme opportunity was identified for the site. 

The site was subsequently sold to a London based investment business to deliver a circa 430 bed building. It has traded successfully ever since.
